Pharmacodynamics
Intellan® is an original medicine based on plant extracts containing the following biologically active components: alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, glycosides, amino acids, vitamins, and trace elements. The drug stimulates mental performance, activates neurotransmitter centers, improves memory, attention and reduces increased fatigue against the background of somatic diseases. Intellan® acts as a neurohumoral transmission modifier and has a stimulating effect on the metabolism of the cerebral cortex. It stimulates brain activity and memory development. Intellan® improves blood circulation in the brain, increases the nutrition supply of nerve cells, and removal of metabolic products. A mild neurostimulating effect reduces anxiety and helps to treat subacute depressive conditions.
Intellan® composition includes pharmacologically active plants:
Ginkgo Biloba contains flavonol glycosides and terpene lactones. It improves cerebral circulation and the supply of oxygen and glucose to the brain has a vasodilating effect and prevents platelet aggregation. It normalizes metabolic processes, has an antihypoxic effect on tissues, and prevents lipid peroxidation and the formation of free radicals in cell membranes. The product has a pronounced anti-edema action on brain tissues and in peripheral tissues.
Centella Asiatica contains triterpene glycosides, bacosides, and flavonoids and improves capillary permeability in venous insufficiency.
Herpestis Monnieria (Bacopa Monnieri) contains alkaloids (brahmin, herpestin), glycosides, saponins, amino acids (aspartic, glutamic, serine, therionin, alanine, glycine, leucine). It has a stimulating, anticonvulsant effect.
Coriandrum Sativum contains essential oil, borneol, thymol, camphene, beta-pinene, citronellol, nerol. It is used as a means of correcting taste and smell.
Amomum Subulatum contains essential oils (a-terpineol, myrcin, limonin, sabinin, b-felladrin, borneol). It has a stimulating and anticonvulsant effect.
Emblica Officinalis contains a large amount of vitamin C, vitamins B1, B2, trace elements, calcium, phosphorus, iron, pectin. It lowers blood cholesterol with the help of pectin. The high content of biologically active, natural, easily digestible vitamin C determines its antioxidant effect. It stimulates erythropoiesis and protein biosynthesis and promotes proper reproduction of tissues of mesenchymal origin – bone dentin and collagen.
