April 5th, 2020|Blog|0 Comments

In late December 2019, an outbreak of an emerging disease (COVID-19) because of a novel coronavirus started in Wuhan, China and rapidly spread across the globe. Viruses Strive for World Leadership

March 8th, 2020|Blog|0 Comments

Nowadays the problem of treating influenza and other viral diseases is extremely urgent, because they make up an impressive share of all infectious diseases. Every year in the winter months, influenza spreads over several continents. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 5–10% of adults and 20–30% of children suffer from influenza every year, while terminal episodes amount to around 250–500 thousand people. Fortunately, the human body is equipped with the immune system, a means of protection against foreign microorganisms. The difficulty lies in the fact that it takes the system several days to develop "weapons", interferons and antibodies, in quantities sufficient to struggle with the disease.

The pharmaceutical industry is attempting to help the immune system accelerate recovery, reduce the effects of infection, and prevent morbidity. The Soviet Union began the development of a broad-spectrum antiviral drug capable of suppressing influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) in the middle of the last century. In 1974 scientists of the All-Union Scientific Research Chemical-Pharmaceutical Institute, Institute of Medical Radiology of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences and the Leningrad Bacteriological and Diagnostic Institute developed an antiviral drug ARBIDOL®.

Clinical Trials of Bemethyl and Bromantane Are Launched in Canada

February 17th, 2020|Blog|0 Comments

As you could notice, we don't sell Phenotropil itself anymore, but we sell the same substance, [Phenylpiracetam], under the other name. This is because Phenotropil is not produced anymore. For the last three years, the same happened with the other really popular products, such as Metaprot [Bemethyl] and Ladasten [Bromantane].

Bemethyl is a synthetic actoprotector which also has antihypoxant, antioxidant, and antimutagenic properties. The drug was developed in the USSR in the 1970s, and after initial tests on Soviet cosmonauts and soldiers in extreme conditions, the drug was used to improve athletic performance, including preparing the USSR national team for the Olympic Games.

Bromantane is also an actoprotector, psychostimulant, anxiolytic, and immunotropic drug, developed in the Soviet Union in the 1980s. Similar to Bemethyl, Bromantane also is able to improve performance under extreme conditions. Later, it was used as a more general treatment for neurasthenia.

Honestly speaking, we have no idea why this happened. But here are also some good news! The off-label clinical trials of Bemethyl and Bromantane are launched in Canada now.

You may be aware of the current unprecedented global outbreak of the coronavirus and the warnings issued by the CDC about how the virus appears to be mutating.
In such an event, often the issue is overblown. We have no idea how big this current outbreak will turn out or whether the CDC will be able to stem the tide.

However, there are some tools we can add to our toolbox to lessen the chances we will be affected. Here's what we're personally doing at CosmicNootropic to protect ourselves.
